Skiing

Zermatt shuttles will transport resort guests from the front doors of the hotel to any of the four ski resorts in the area:

  • Deer Valley, with 21 lifts, 90 trails, 1,750 skiable acres, and a vertical rise of 3,000 feet, is consistently ranked “#1 Ski Resort in North America” by the readers of SKI Magazine.
  • Park City Mountain Resort offers nine gaping bowls, 100 long runs (50 groomed daily), four world-class terrain parks (including King’s Crown Superpark), and the 2002 Olympic Winter Games Superpipe (where the World Superpipe Championships are held annually).
  • The Canyons, with 8 separate mountains, 17 lifts and 163 trails, and an amazing 3,700 mountain acres, is the largest single ski and snowboard resort in Utah and one of the five largest in the U.S.
  • Sundance, founded by Robert Redford in 1969, offers 450 acres of skiable, unspoiled wilderness surrounded by 5,000 acres of protected wildlife.

For Nordic ski enthusiasts, the mountains and valleys of Wasatch County offer some of the area’s best cross-country skiing destinations.

  • Soldier Hollow offers more than 16 miles of groomed cross-country trails providing winter recreation opportunities for first-timers, crossover downhill skiers, and expert skiers. Soldier Hollow was named “Best Venue” for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games by USA today.
