Golf
The Crater Springs Golf Course is a par 72 course measuring 7,017 yards from the back tees and plays 5,091 yards from the forward tees. Our golf course rating is 73.0 from the back tees and 68.2 from the forward. The Crater Springs Golf Course is open April 1st through October 31st (weather permitting).
To improve your game, we also have a practice putting green, chipping green, driving range, and club rentals. Our golf shop offers golfing attire, shoes, clubs, and equipment for men, women, and children.
The Crater
One of the most unique activities you’ll ever experience in your lifetime, The Crater is a geothermal spring in a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on our sister property, The Homestead.
Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater formed when Water from snow melting on the Wasatch Mountains seeped deep within the earth. Two miles below the surface, the earth’s interior heated the water. As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called the Homestead Crater.
The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at a constant range of 90 – 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
We have created a tunnel through the rock wall at ground level and built decks and a soaking area for guests and the public to access the crystal-clear mineral water. You can go swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, enjoy a therapeutic soak, or even take a paddleboard yoga class. The Crater is the only warm water scuba diving destination in the continental US and attracts many diving enthusiasts and those wishing to get certified in a comfortable environment.
You do not have to get wet to have a one-of-a-kind experience inside the Crater. Many guests just enjoy the self-guided Crater tour, the history, geology, and archeology of this unique natural phenomenon.
Paddle Board Yoga
Experience the therapeutic, mineral-rich waters of the Homestead Crater in a whole new way with a yoga class held on six-foot paddleboards on the Crater water itself. Challenge your balance and experience the warm, healing waters in an hour-long all-levels class. Flow with nature in the cathedral-like cave while floating on the Caribbean-colored, 90-degree waters. Pool and Hot Tub
Enjoy a refreshing swim, sit and relax in one of the two hot tubs or enjoy some family time in the sun.
Centrally located at Zermatt Resort, our picturesque property has magnificent views of the mountain tops and the indoor/outdoor pool features a swim through. The pool ceiling changes colors creating a unique ambiance at night.
Relax in the fresh air or under the stars in the outdoor hot tub. Enjoy a soak in the indoor hot tub, which features a waterfall that is sure to relax the body and mind.
Tennis
Enjoy a game of tennis while taking in the fresh mountain air on one of Zermatt Resort’s two outdoor tennis courts.
Shuffleboard
Challenge your partner to a game of horseshoes or shuffleboard. Both activities are set in unique positions on the property, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wasatch County.
Volleyball
Gather a group of friends or family members and enjoy a game of volley ball. Zermatt Resort features a sand volleyball beach.
Chess

Carousel and Horse Shoes
Located in the heart of Zermatt’s picturesque property, the storybook carousel features a number of gilded animals; ponies, rabbits, lions, and yes, even bears.
Zermatt Resorts Carousel is unique to the entire state of Utah, each animal and each detail is modeled after the classic carousels of Europe, sparking whimsy, wonder and joy to all who step onto the platform.
Kids of all ages can enjoy a ride on Zermatt Resorts Carousel for a small fee.
