Delicious Health

Our Delicious Health cooking series is a three or four week course, making delicious food that is not only good for the body, but simple to prepare so you have plenty of time and energy to enjoy an active life. Chef Hilary Herron and Leslie have worked together to create fabulous whole foods and meals with gourmet flavors, yet simple to prepare. The four week series will introduce the Delicious Health lifestyle by teaching everything one needs to know about preparing delicious, healthy foods, one meal at a time.

Habits of Highly Healthy People

In this class we will load you up with food for thought.  We will take a look at healthy and unhealthy habits.  Leslie Smoot will introduce her K.I.P.S. (Keep it Pure and Simple) plan for good health.  We will give you a simple plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner (we will demo and taste all three meals).  Go home motivated and prepared to implement the ideas into your routine.

R.A.W. {Recipes and Wisdom}

Why do we keep talking about raw foods?  Because they are so valuable for your body and health.  We will learn about enzymes, phytochemicals and the body benefit of eating raw foods.  You don't have to be extreme and eat all raw, you don't have to be a hippie, weird, eccentric or give up your tasty cooked foods;  BUT, you really ought to be eating raw foods daily.  Try some delicious raw food recipes and see how easy it is to incorporate MORE raw foods into your day.

Real Food

Aren't all foods real?  No.  Real foods are the key to health, wellness and longevity.  It is that simple, and yet everywhere we turn, we are encouraged to eat fast food, fried food, junk food and even fake food.  Rhett Roberts, owner of Real Food Market, will lay out the principles of eating real foods and in the process you will learn about the history of foods and healthy habits of cultures around the world.  We will prepare dinner the "Real Foods" way and you can see how simple and delicious it is.
